EN471: European Standard for High Visibility Clothing.
Garment classifications/Garment types are grouped into three classes based on the visibility provided, with the classes dictating the minimum quantities of background and retro-reflective materials to be used.
Class 1: Provides the minimum specification for garments to be worn by persons working on a private road. Hi-Viz trousers will commonly meet this standard when worn seperately from upper garments.
Minimum background material 0.14m2, minimum retro-reflective material 0.10m2.
Performance
Hi-Viz Trousers, two 50mm reflective bands on each leg, waterproof with seams stitched and taped, elasticated waist and two side access pockets. Conforms to health and safety regulation EN471 Class 1.
